Job Summary:

The Financial Planning and Analysis (“FP&A”) Analyst (“Analyst”), Corporate, will join BRG’s FP&A team, a growing, highly dynamic, and motivated team within BRG’s finance organization. The Analyst will be part of BRG’s finance organization reporting to the Manager of Corporate FP&A, supporting many of BRG’s departments and their leaders with respect to a wide variety of planning, analysis, and financial management topics. This position will be based in Washington DC; however, has remote work flexibility.
Responsibilities:
  • Support the company-wide financial planning processes related to budgeting and forecasting, monthly, quarterly, and annual short-term and long-range planning. This includes setting templates, data consolidation and validation, financial modeling, and managing data and analytics for reporting purposes.
  • Closely manage annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and monthly results reporting associated with SG&A expenses. This may include managing business rules for and ensuring execution of SG&A allocation processes.
  • Analyze corporate and business operating results monthly and help develop variance analysis for different audiences. Work closely with business FP&A teammates to understand business drivers, risks and opportunities.
  • Act as liaison to business FP&A leads, Accounting, Tax, Data Analytics, Marketing, and other departments in support of information requests.
  • Assist in the development and tracking of key financial and operational performance indicators. This may include creating ad-hoc reports and organizing and analyzing data for various groups.
  • Help prepare board and executive level presentations which communicate financial results.
  • Participate in special projects, as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field
  • 0-3 years professional experience in FP&A
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, self-motivated, strong analytical skills, creative problem solver

Salary range: $60-80k
